245 bur is one of the dental burs that is used to remove the carious tooth structure as it cuts into the enamel and dentin.

245 bur is used to make ideal cavities in Class I or Class II amalgam restorations, also it may be used for Class V in order to achieve slight undercut in the cavity design for the retention of the amalgam restoration.

  • 0.8 mm in diameter.
  • Working tip is 3 mm in height.


Short shank 245 dental bur is great for limited mouth opening patients or working in a limited area.

Short shank 245 bur is shorter than long shank by 3 mm.
